168.75 - USDA Forest Service Air - A bit of activity here.

By-chance are they running any PL on 168.7500 [Region 8 Air Net] :confused:

168.750 Very busy today with Forest service aircraft in the Desoto National Forest.
Talking with Camp Shelby Range Control about fires in the firing ranges on the NF Freq.

Range Control Ops Frequency also busy with range fires on 142.325

The Hattiesburg/Forrest County feed has been gone a few years now. There are feeds for the surrounding area, but none with Federal Agencies on them. Not sure if Broadcastify/Radioreference policy allows Federal Agency streaming. The ProScan Client has some cool feeds vias the web also, but none from MS as far as I can tell.

142.325 Camp Shelby Range Control Ops (they have their own fire Equipment)

Edit: USFS rangers mentioned changing to Tact 3 which should be 168.600

Yes, United States Army/National Gaurd is second only to the Navy when it comes to firefighting gear, training, etc... Camp Shelby has a full fledged Fire/Rescue unit and of course Medevac Helos. Of course if anything got really out of hand they could just call up the SeeBees and let em doze it under.
