Double..sorry..
Ar
Ed nice catches but thought I saw posted the F-35's FUTURE 41 were Marine Corp F-35B's.
Can't seem to find confirmation on them though except this news blurb from Boston.

BOSTON (CBS) — Military aircraft roared over the Boston area Saturday afternoon as part of a July 4th celebration. Boston was the first stop of the “Salute To Great Cities Of The American Revolution” from the Department of Defense.
U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps jets flew over the U.S.S. Constitution in the Charlestown Navy Yard before heading to Fenway Park. It was led by U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, followed by B-1, B-2 and B-52 bombers, F-15 and F-22 fighters and U.S. Marine Corps F-35 fighters.
Mark, what led me to Hill F35s was the fact they were using a known Hill F35 A-A freq. I can't see why marine F35s would use that freq. I may be wrong but that was my guess. Any confirmation/help is always appreciated. Thanks.

Rgr Hill AFB bragging about their Utah July 4th 2020 flyovers yet nothing on East Coast.
Nothing from Marine Corp posted as well.. The unknown F-35's :)
Maybe the Pentagon snookered the folks.. Nobody wants credits..

Twitter has McGuire tanking one of them.. a number 24 on nose of plane.
Could be #169024 VM-24 from VMFAT-501 according to Scramble database or
168722 VM-14 CN #BF-24 from same unit.. Not sure what number they use on nose like that to identify them.
Great! Thanks for the confirmation guys! Very much appreciated. I didn't know they used the same freq as the Hill unit. I'll note that in my scanner.

Thanks Jared. Appreciate your help with this mystery.
No problem!

FWIW, I keep a database of all the USN/USMC units with their callsigns, frequencies, and other info. You can access it via this link: usmc-usn.xlsx

I do my best to keep it updated and any reported frequencies are marked with the year last verified. Feel free to use it and pass along any new info you may come across!

1930- Reach 471T (C-17 # 02-1109 AE117B 60th AW Joint Base McChord WA) departed Grissom ARB IN and was heading for ADW. Is now orbiting in the Winchester VA area. I'm guessing due to the severe storms in the Baltimore-DC area.

Have you ever figured out what they are doing? Is it just visual or something more, like communications monitoring?

RadioLab did an episode on it a few years ago. Pretty interesting and scary.

The name of the company is Persistent Surveillance Systems.
