1050- OTIS 02 (KC-135 # 57-1419) off NKT heading north.

I've notice this KC-135 (the oldest one) working out of NKT the last few weeks using the OTIS callsign. Is there usually a tanker based there ? Is it still with the 161 ARW out of PHX ? Out on loan ?

That has to be a miscode or reused Mode S. They just buzzed me dropping out of IFR and heading up to the KIOWA MOA from what I could catch with MDT approach. Didn't get a visual but guessing it's a KC-130 and sounded like a J.

I posted about this one in April.

I've pretty much confirmed that freq 123.475 noted last week is an interplane freq used by Baltimore PD Surveillance acft N804U & N73266. Both acft are up orbiting over parts of Baltimore & have two guys on 123.475 chatting about approaching thunderstorms and Baltimore wx radar shows storms nearing Baltimore.

I think this was the KAWW93 KC-46 #18-46046 tail last week..

Good evening Mark and all,

Thanks, this is probably where that KAWW callsign is used for, see also this report:

2045 local KC-10 86-0035 showing callsign NATION 16 inbound McGuire from Puerto Rico.
Looks like on flight just did down and back from McGuire this afternoon.. No racetrack circuits. Maybe scouting mission.

I see they had a good launch today down Wallops at 9:46am local.
Seems Wallops had only good luck this week as 3 other Space launches scrubbed.
Sure looks like a ICBM on launch :)

MUSSELL flights making their typical Thursday night flights. 7 is heading out towards Mt Wx now. Said 3miles east of Leesburg, but I'm pretty sure he was 3 miles west at that point. 11 switched from DCA to Dulles tower and 2 is in the Cabin John area now.

7 just now calling Mt Weather. "One way, 2 SOB"

2138- MUSSELL11 a few minutes out from Mt WX. 16 is westbound towards Dulles.

2154- NIGHTHAWK12 VH-92 inbound to Davison. 126.3 Not showing on mode-S.

I am hearing traffic on 230.875 FM in the Philadelphia / Southern NJ area. Unit id'ing itself as LittleBird.

Wondering if it's a test flight from the Boeing plant in Ridley PA next to PHL. Mentioned RTB and notify the mechanics I am coming in.

Anyone else catch this?

I think it's more likely GLARE25 an MC-12 using a civilian hex.

Checked my notes and I've heard both Little Bird & Big Bird working on 230.875 AM & FM modes. At the time both "Birds" were working out of Hagerstown.

I've also heard them on 138.075 (AM), 139.850 (AM), 267.35 (AM & FM-analog & encrypted), & 277.35 (AM & FM)
