Looks like tanker on way out to fuel up LURE 41 towards Nantuckett..

Tanker callsign is SUNOT 381 (new one for me). Don't see 3 digit tanker callsigns very often, noticed one on the west coast today too, ALEM 331. Related to the exercise I'm guessing ?

The CABALs are supporting the return of the 14FS F-16s from Eielson to Misawa airbase tomorrow.

Thanks

Hi,
The CABALs are supporting the return of the 14FS F-16s from Eielson to Misawa airbase tomorrow.
René.
Red Flag Alaska 21-1 also had VMFA-232 Hornets from Miramar so maybe some tankers for them
to get back to Southern Cal.. Hmm KC-10's would do that job nicely or BOBBY KC-135's with drogue hose mods.
BOBBY 31 62-3544 McGuire was MOLSON-03 back on Sept 21 so outfitted for Hornets.

I think the VT ANG is still officially in transition and not yet combat active or certified by USAF but
that is a nice thought .. Seems though they just got last of their 20 planes so about another year+ to get a Combat Cert.
according to local Wing Commander.
Final F-35 jet arrives at Vermont Air National Guard base

Yep. On Sunday SPUR 80-81 both ended up with HONE 11 on AR508W, then returned to EDF. There was also a HONE 12 in the area. Fighters out of Eielson ?
Nice catch.. With those HONE call numbers 11,12 betting those were 2 bombers.
Could have been two B-1's off Guam who are TDY there.
A SPUR 79 #79-1713 logged Japan this morning 0400-0500z. May be related.

BOBBY 31 dragged the VMFA-232 Hornets back to Miramar as CUBE 81 flight.
BOBBY 41 dragged the VAQ-132 Growlers back to Whidbey Island as CUBE 91 flight.

Makes sense, when they could be heard their transmissions sounded more like a transport type vs that fighter talking through the O2 mask.
