2105 local Watching TREK 02 followed by TREK 01 inbound KILG A/A 343.00 the 166AW CP freq got parking.
TREK 02 96-1005 C-130H 133AW Minn ANG
TREK 01 84-0213 C-130H 166AW De ANG

Del ANG 166thAW got a new tail or borrowing?.. Both coming inbound from NW over Pennsylvania.
Looks like TREK 01 and crew went up to get this tail this morning according to Ron's morning log above.

My ex-wife's family had a place there in the mid to late 70's - maybe later ----it was at the base of the hill on the lake side. Definitely was good listening in that area. Plus the booms !!

OK Terry. The booms from Aberdeen PG were neat. In 1972 an Army helo landed on a grass air strip that one of the owner's relation used and I found them on a 30MHz freq on the RS Pro2 and watched them practice picking the troops back up. Reception was great; I could even hear Berks Co. PA police on VHF Hi on a simple GP from there. The Civil Air Patrol made regular flights along the Elk during the week.

1040- Another new callsign? Got Tiger 11 (KC-135R # 60-0366 AE0505) off WRI & local at ACY. Prob 108th AW.

I believe TIGER is an old McGuire tanker callsign from years ago. Haven't heard it used in a while.
