That F-15 on top left seems to have his fuselage airbrake deployed.. You don't see that often in the air. Usually only during landings.
Guess was trying to slow down quickly. :)
That LJ-35 almost looks just like US Customs Border color scheme but their blue stripes are always behind aircraft cockpit.View attachment 104183

Maybe with Holiday weekend coming up everyone trying to get their flight training hours in early?
That speedbrake creates quite the drag, years ago they used to use chaff packages (highly compressed tin foil in cardboard boxes) placed under the speedbrake at the bottom. During training engagements, they'd pop the speed brake and it would deploy into the airstream to break the lock on radar guided missiles. Now, I'm pretty sure all F-15's have been modifed to included internally mounted chaff and flare modules that are used now. I'm not quite sure of the temperature of the flares in use today, but they can burn through concrete.

293.7 Tanker Boom freq GASMAN and SLAMs (I have as VT MAPLE OPs)

I can confirm 293.700 as BTV ANG OPS. The F-35s use "Scorpion Ops" when calling them.

Heading toward Yarmouth, NS they were refueled (in US airspace) then worked TOI intercepts

Is this what W104 is used for ? Given its odd shape I see now how it might be used for intercepting targets coming from Canada.

Thanks airscan, I wasn't on the radios when this went on. Was W-104 active at that time? I'm so mad I missed this in real time! I can't recall ever hearing anything in W-104 before. If the P-3s from Brunswick used to use it, they were always too low and weak to monitor even when they were closer to me in W-102.

I can't remember now for sure if W104 was active today ? It was active the previous 2 days, FL190 to FL350, but I never saw anyone in it. According to the Global Security website, W104 is used for surface-to-air gunnery exercises using conventional ordnance and ASW exercises. So maybe not ?
