During todays Blues fly by there was lots of chat. Some of it not too complimentary of their Commander & Vice Commander-in-Chief (POTUS & VPOTUS).

One thing I didn't know--they chatted about what they use for reference points when doing formations. One pilot likes to use the other pilots' helmets and the other mentioned he uses the lettering on the side of the acft for position reference.

It was on FlightRadar24, AF1 switched off ADSB prior to landing. The flight paths could be a coincidence, I suppose.

First off, FR24 and Flightaware censors aircraft you can see, use ADSB Exchange for better tracking of military and blocked planes. Here is a link for taracking AF1 and AF2 along with the backups.

First time watching AF1, and there is a USAF MC-12 "SHADY6" out in front of it now, and a BLOCKED callsign behind it. What am I seeing here, some kind of surveillance/security flight?

The only aircraft shadowing 82-8000, today's AF1, was 09-0015 a backup in case of issues. The Shady flights have been doing flights up and down the east coast today and were not related to the POTUS trip, the blocked flight was probably a civilian aircraft FR24 was asked to block by the owner.

Audio from THUNDERBIRD practice today

1. Click on the link
2. Download the 5-28-21 TBIRDS.ZIP file to a folder and unzip into that folder
3. Double click the "SRPlayer.exe" program to start the player
4. Drag the MORNING.log or AFTERNOON.log file into the player box
5. Hit the Play tab to start playing automatically. You will see the Frequency, Signal strength (1-500 scale = S1-S10), timestamp, ect...
Enjoy

CAP tanker Wink11, showing 0000 on ADSBx, 84-0189 AE021C DC10 on station

09-0015 on the way to DANG. POTUS switched AF1 planes before departing at 3:09. 09-0017 looks like it is landing at ADW while 82-8000 still on the ground.

A couple of channels came up today here. Signal quality was quite poor, but chatter was present. Maybe one of you guys heard what was being said?

By chance, do you have the frequencies they used/tend to use during the airshow?

On Monday, the President will return to Washington, D.C. He and the First Lady, the Vice President, and the Second Gentleman will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.

Guys

This was posted on another list:

Hello Delaware Coastal Airport aeronautical tenants,

A Head’s-up.

We knew this day would come sooooo, expect a Rehoboth Beach TFR to be issued effective Wednesday, June 2nd through Friday, June 4th.

Also, unlike the maps shows below, I anticipate a 12 Nautical Mile Radius Inner ring (absolute no-fly zone). If indeed a 12 NMR Inner Ring is imposed, that 12 NMR fall within ½ NM of the GED Airport.

Please familiarize yourself with the below example of language common to a TFR.

One final note: You will see a lot of military activity on the GED Airport next week (temporary radar installations and USCG helicopters)
