SPUR-79 62-3578 turned more Northerly over Long Island maybe headed for AR-212 0r AR-62.
Took him a while to climb up to FL350 so maybe loaded up with fuel.

2025 Tanker TABOO-23 cleared to rtb had 6 total contacts on Huntress 260.900
2028 NOBLE-21 flight of two req clearance to Langley AFB on ZDC 307.250
Rare you hear F-16's going to Langley.. Maybe their new future home? These guys keep talking about
moving up this way by the Winter.
Earlier today caught tails of NOBLE 11,12 #87-0277 Ex DC ANG and #88-0400 100th FS Alabama

Do you have a source on 87-0277 being an ex DC Viper? I just saw it a month ago still wearing its special DC markings...

Scramble shows as DC ANG but last update was in 2019. Assumed with 100th FS now.
Maybe the 100th FS moving to Andrews? :) I think they went into Langley also.

Looks like headed to AR-62, maybe to meet up with RCH674 ?
Rgr now looks to be headed to the west end of AR-62 right on course.
Reminded me of Sunday noon local Alaska Elmendorf has Space A flight to Aalborg Denmark.
Sounds like a Polar flight near the North Pole :) Looking at map Aalborg Denmark is a bit North of Anchorage but very close.

Not sure if anyone knows this from the DC area… Biden is traveling to KABE on Wednesday and I’m wondering if I should wait at the airport tomorrow to see if the C-17 tango flight and HMX comes in? There’s a Space-A flight scheduled into KADW tomorrow from KCHS, maybe that might be it? If anyone has a clue that’d be great. Thanks!

I'm no expert here, but I wouldn't expect tomorrow, more than likely Monday or Tuesday. That's just my thoughts.

HMX-1 usually sends the Blackhawk/Sea King in 3-4 days in advance. I know in Detroit, It arrived here on a Friday/Saturday(In May) ahead of his Tuesday(In May) arrival, then the "Reach Tango" flights came in 1-2 days prior then one usually comes the day he arrives to scoop everything up.

Rgr that HMX-1 Ospreys always hit KILG on the Thursday before weekend Friday arrival.
C-17's a at least two days before arrival locally in the US.

Guys,

Just passing this on for your consideration. I turned up from one of the Florida listeners in a discussion on another list of the aperiodic activity with the E-4B NAOCs and some of the Andrews C-32s.

Since a lot of this activity seems to take place in our areas, here is a scanner system I made for COG (Continuity of Government).

Just some frequencies that could be active, or have had E-4, E-6 and SAM air-air related activity before.

142.7500 AM

142.7500 NFM (auto mode for P25 too)

166.5125 P25 Sierra

225.6000 E-6B / E-4B air-air

225.4750 FM "JACK 5" (Florida log)

233.7000 Tinker E-6 Ops

234.9500 EAM

277.8000 Fleet Tac (E-6B air-air)

277.9000 E-6B air-air

292.8000 SAM air-air

305.6000 Raymond 24

375.4750 FM "JACK 5" (Florida log)

450.4750 FM "JACK 5" (Florida log)

The “Florida log” came from a monitor here that heard these on the same day last Nov that Jack saw the E-4 and E-6 following each other near Jacksonville, FL. The date and timing of the radio traffic match Jack seeing them near Jax.

The call sign was JACK 1 and JACK 5. CTCSS 151.4 was used on all three.

Comms were nothing more than “switch 375.475” and same for 450.475. Very brief.

Used to have F-16s at Langley before. Remember the NODAKs from North Dakota & the MAPLES from Vermont. They used to be at Langley for long TDY's to provide air defense coverage for our area. In fact, I think some of the Langley F-16s were part of the 9-11 response.
