Unid with bad code of 424BA0 as BOE005 showed up on my local ADSB setup while I was out, ADSBExchange shows it originated at Georgetown DE and currently over South Dakota heading NW towards Seattle

1722Z 237.15 REACH 591 working BRICKYARD CP (AMC McGuire) ref fuel & lav services

288.0AM Constant high-pitched tone. Does not sound like a pure tone. Data? The source is 50-100 miles away as it does fade out with atmospheric condx. Could be McGuire.

1740Z 251.2AM - UnIDed aircraft working CP

134.1AM UnIDed aircraft calling Dover CP

Receiver: ICOM IC-R8600 Hybrid SDR
Antenna: Diamond 3000 Superdiscone @ 480' AMSL

So far I've programmed in all the 25 kHz military FM channels from 30.000 to 60.000 with CTCSS decode of 151.4 Hz + most of the listed VHF & UHF military channels for the metro NYC-Phila area. So far 860 channels which take 8 sec to scan.

While most mil activity in the FM band seems to be concentrated below 50 MHz, I have heard the NJNG using channels around 57 MHz when they were on flood control security duty in Bound Brook, NJ. I also found a note on 65.000 in an old log book. So I plan to add the remaining channels between 60.025-87.975.

It was not surprising when I had a 6M repeater on 53.25 without CTCSS to have military comms on 52.250 key it up. Most folks don't realize that the military is the primary user of the spectrum & everyone else, amateurs included, are secondary users. An example was the ban on amateur operations during WW2.

There have been a number of openings on 50 MHz over the past few months but no military skip yet. I also monitor 30.000 without CTCSS as this channel gets active when the band opens.

I also plan to add the bc station harmonics that I have copied in the past (AM mode).

Checking morning tape 0900 local had Salty Dog-11 flight of two at FL230 with ZDC UHF says will be making a Hudson river Run.
"We will be about at 2,500 feet when entering the Mouth of the Hudson river"
The Navy sure likes doing that morning Hudson River run in their F/18's ..Once a Month at least it seems :)
Caught them on return trip 1000 am local says will work R-4006 (Ches Bay) before RTB.
Here they were back in end of June this year.. Two F/A-18 jets fly over Hudson River and Jersey City - YouTube

Look for local in-house interference or intermod for the tone on 288.00 I get it here as well on some of my radios.
