Sounds like Hoser11 and Hoser12 refueling the SAM aircraft backing up AF-1 over AR-777 using 315.9
HOSERs were cleared to AR with TERRA 58. Seems unrelated to AF1, I've never seen these 486th FTS C-32Bs doing SAM/POTUS missions ?

The SAM backup aircraft who I saw all morning was circling around McGuire for most of the morning but then I saw him fly out (on ADS-B) and meet up and tail HOSER11 and 12 into AR-777 before disappearing on the radar. I also heard the callsign TERRA58. Interesting to say the least.HOSERs were cleared to AR with TERRA 58. Seems unrelated, I'm guessing these 486th FTS C-32Bs are not used for SAM/POTUS missions ?

OK yes I saw that one around AC before. Somehow I must have mixed the two up. Thanks for the clarification! The aircraft 00-9001 circling McGuire was TERRA 58, like I say I've never heard 486 FTS used as a SAM backup. Now there was a SAM aircraft holding south of Atlantic City. The Washington/ZDC feeds are down that cover that area so I couldn't confirm the callsign? 09-0017 was probably the AF1 backup ?
Checking my tape had NOBLE-11 departing for Langley 10:03am local.I am thinking they are using other freqs.... unless they no longer feel a CAP is required?

I took over his position and worked with Al Stern and Jack Nesmith when they were alive. You do have some good monitors from our region...Batdude (Central Fl, Admin of this site), Steve Smitty(North Florida) and Pete Pisano (Stuart) on this thread.Thank You Rick!
