Looks like annual STRATCOM Global Thunder 22 exercise is underway.. May get some bombers and more HF EAM's over the next 10 days or so.
Prob why we already had so many E-6B EAM coms over this past weekend.

Some old twitter posts from last few exercises.. Wish they would send the Barksdale Buffs to the Northeast for a change
Usually starts with ground classroom briefings,munitions etc so don't expect much air action till near this coming weekend.
Seem to be running later this year.

QUAKE 73 initially stayed down at FL250 dragging BEEF 85. BEEF also went to Hawaii, part of the same mission ? QUAKE 72 stayed down at FL260 all the way across but didn't seem to be dragging anyone ?
Here's the lineup so far - QUAKE ALTRV. Just missing QUAKE 83.

1018- DeeCee 22 (KC-135R # 57-1479 756th ARS) off ADW. Working Liberator CP on 311.0. First time I've heard them contact Liberator on 311.0 instead of the normal 351.2
Retro's should be 4 LN F-15's to SJ? Overhaul time
Another thought the first USAF F-35's go to LN later this year as eventual replacements for the F-15C models.
Maybe these are F-15C models and all finished at LN?

They split into 2 flights at 1500. RETRO 81-83 to KWRB and RETRO 84 to KSSC.
1515- RETRO 81 and 84 to ZBW 292.150
1522- RETRO 81 cleared to block FL410-FL430
1524- RETRO 81 and 84 to ZDC 281.450

1537 RETRO-84 on that new Cape Charles ZDC freq 293.225 at FL 260.
1539 RETRO-81 going to FL 430.. "Yeah we split flights about 100 miles back..He is going to KSSC"

Yea they are regulars around here. In my 30 years of living here, I've never caught one actually landing at the Site R helipad. Never in the right place at the right time.
