After Nighthawk 6 landed back at Anacostia they switched pilots and went with Nighthawk 7 for landing practice at the Naval Observatory.
I heard her with DCA tower on that live u tube vid feed as tower told here to stay put for
another 20 minutes while flyby's were going on. I guess NIGHTHAWKS always have to clear with DCA tower before departing
anywhere in the DC area.I had no idea where she was though at that moment.
I don't know how accurate but Airnav has DCA tower freqs as 119.100,134.35 and says Helicopters 257.6

Mark,

I heard 257.6 used once, Haven't heard it used since.

It was on Jun 17th of this year:

1450- PAT 07 (prob UH-60) working Wash Helo Control (257.6) for flight following. First time I've heard the Wash Helo UHF freq used.

PIONEER-33 P-8A 169333 coming back to Pax River from NAS Whidbey Island after a few days out there.
PIONEER-05 167956 just got to NAS Whidbey Island last night, hunting Subs? off Vancouver.
Judging by orange tracer must be skimming the water up there. Maybe testing new gear for finding shipwrecks perhaps.

Probably doing an exercise with CFB Esquimalt, which is near there.

Guys,

I have been reporting the FAA Sector designation when I post ARTCC freqs i.e. ZDC Woodstown (124.45).

I was advised that the more correct way is to use the RCAG location as the designator, thus in future I will post as ZDC LLLL (freq) using the RCAG location. Thus ZDC Woodstown will be ZDC Millville (125.45).

Sorry for any confusion.
