257.6 is the UHF side of 119.1 and not specific to helicopters. Only 134.35 is specific to helicopters.
I heard them on 134.35What freqs did they use when landing at Anacostia & Naval Observatory?
1945- SAM 609 (C-37 # 18-1947) inbound to ADW, ADS-B track shows him coming from Miami area or the Caribbean.
All the helos in the NCR (generally within the Beltway) talk to DCA tower on 134.35. ~95% of the time 119.1 and 134.35 are combined with the same controller working both. During busy times, such as during the flyover yesterday, the freqs are split and they have different controllers.I heard her with DCA tower on that live u tube vid feed as tower told here to stay put for
another 20 minutes while flyby's were going on. I guess NIGHTHAWKS always have to clear with DCA tower before departing
anywhere in the DC area.I had no idea where she was though at that moment.
I don't know how accurate but Airnav has DCA tower freqs as 119.100,134.35 and says Helicopters 257.6

Ok, I wasn't sure if they go by a certain schedule or purely on daylight. I was thinking they typically patrol until 8ish but wasn't sure if that would change during the winter months.Typically you don't see CAP after dark

Winner was VFA-81 "Sunliners". They also have AB tail codeI could see an HH-65 flying around NW DC about that time.
Lighting wasn't ideal for the flyover but I can make out "AB" on the tails of the F-18s in my photos. So VFA-82 or 86.
