Wonder if some or all this W-72 action is for the USS Harry Truman departure today including that KING-73 flight from Long Island?
DVIDS - Video - Harry S. Truman Departs Naval Station Norfolk for Deployment (dvidshub.net)
Well, the timing doesn't seem quite right for the activity off the coast to be connected to the Truman, but I researched some and according to this page, USNI News Fleet and Marine Tracker: Nov. 1, 2021 , on or around Nov 1, "USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) is underway in the Virginia Capes Operating Areas." and according to this one, USNI News Fleet and Marine Tracker: Nov. 15, 2021 , on or around Nov 15th, "USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) departed from Naval Station Norfolk, Va., this morning as part of a series of underways after the completion of an extensive maintenance period.", it seems likely that the USS George H.W. Bush is in or around W-72, or at least somewhere off the east coast. Who knows though, you may be right and it could be the Truman air wing practicing or could be completely unrelated. I haven't seen anything about when the USS George H.W. Bush is going to do computex.

Mark,
That would fit with Ship Bottom 254.3 now being 307.275.
I didn't have 125.025 in my VHF rotation.. Had to add it though prob missing others as well.
Is that a new one? Heard lots of traffic on there.

Just heard traffic on ZDC 236.825 say we are with the 104th FS and passed along an event number.
Maryland A-10s working offshore down that way? Maybe in W-386

CPS-52 KC-135 from Jacksonville was working offshore NC/SC border.
Maybe the Harry Truman moving South? I think Truman has to pick up some CVW-1 Air Wing members from Jacksonville
as well.

1100- Angry 1 (F-16 121st FS DC ANG) check-in w/ZDC (307.275) at FL200. I have this as ZDC Super High, but FL200 doesn't seem to fit that. QSY's to ZDC Atlantic City (281.45) then W107/108 (255.0). Also on discrete (238.175). From the sequence of freq changes, it seems that 307.275 is located somewhere between ADW & Atlantic City.
This morning heard someone I think Andrews F-16's on 360.700 then says to other I'm going to 121.025.
Thought that was odd..

Checking the LiveATC ZDC 134.500 (360.700) archives you can hear the controller working the ANGRY 1 flight, clears them to FL200, then initially hands them off to 121.025 then comes back right away with the UHF 307.275. Explains the 121.025 and confirms 307.275 being used in place of 254.300. I have 307.275 listed as a spare/backup frequency so maybe just a temp sub for 254.300 ?

Air,

Thanks for the confirmation. I don't think it is a temp sub, 254.3 hasn't been heard for quite awhile & 307.275 has been heard for some time now.

Thanks FAA for publishing change :cautious: (n)

I see what you mean. Searching the Mid-Atlantic threads for 307.275 I see it was first noted by freqhopping in the same area back in July 2019, and all reports of it since seem consistent with it being Sector 58 Coyle, RCAG Ship Bottom. I'll update my notes.

I noticed some semi-identified Army aircraft on ADSBx today. AE35CC R01903 and AE35CD R01970. Low and slow into KMCH from Wichita. Seemed a bit to fast for helos and listening to KMCH tower they were using the taxiways so they seem to be fixed wing. Some new Cessna/Textron single-engine? For USMA? Wait and see for now.
