Terry,

No more. I tuned off this freq for about 30 mins and when I checked back they were gone, so must've been some sort of Sat comms. I've had similar comms before on 269.1.
Guys; The past 2 wks I've been picking up a broken signal on 264.3 WBFM. Sometimes it's in for a few seconds, sometimes a few minutes. The times I receive it are random. The signal starts out weak, gradually gets stronger sometimes to full quieting, then suddenly it's gone. I thought it may be frequencies mixing together producing images, but I receive it around the County (Berks) and on 3 different radios. Sometimes there is music playing, heard 2 guys talking, heard kids playing with water splashing calling for their Mom, sometimes just a carrier. One of my ham friends is hearing it as he lives 15mi NE of me. Really perplexing as most milsats are geostationary where the signals are pretty steady as with the Portuguese pirates. I pick the signal up first in the FM mode on my Alinco DR235 on a RS discone, no preamp. Then I listen on the BCD436 WBFM on the other RS discone w/preamp. I'm planning on going mobile for a few trips around the County with a 220 beam to see if I can tell what direction the signal may be coming from.

Guys,

Off Topic, but an impressive fly-by nonetheless

The Chiefs were playing the Raiders. A former president had PREVIOUSLY eliminated patriotic military flyovers at large events. A group of guys in Kansas City who do some formation flying in their own planes, decided they'd volunteer to SAVE this tradition and pick up the slack.

They invited a couple of other groups to join them and before they knew it, they had 48 guys with their own airplanes signing up to join in. If they had more time, they probably would have gotten an even larger group as people kept joining and a 49th was added near the event.

Be sure your speakers are turned up. Best if you watch at 'full screen'.... pretty impressive and it makes you proud to be an American.
