1710 local NOBLES 21,22 heard them overhead here in NE Maryland with
Philly apch 273.575 then push 132.525.. Couldn't see them thru clouds but sure could hear them.
Seems tanker track has expanded.
What scanner do you use for mil air?

B1-B Rehersal

For the practice they formed up in W168 then went VFR back to MacDill for the flyby. The LiveATC feed "ZMA Miami Center (Sector 7/8 Both)" covers W168. They were on VHF 132.350 with good controller reception but poor aircraft reception, then handed off to Tampa Approach UHF 353.575. Unfortunately it looks like the LiveATC Tampa Approach feeds are down.

NOBLE-21,22 checking wx back home on 260.900.. Old half hour data showing some rain winds at only 7pm.
Say 6 minutes to go in CAP and don't need gas. "Sure had fun today with that skipped bogey".
1725 NOBLE 22 gets another bogey with ZDC 132.525 req heading 300 down to 3k feet.
1728 NOBLE-22 comes up on Philly 317.550,radar contact on TOI down to 1 thousand feet
1730 NOBLE-22 eyes small drone on 317.550, NOBLE-21 repeats same.. disregard now a high wing single engine aircraft.
1732 NOBLE says aircraft doing Chester County airport like the last time maybe touch and go,

Someone from FAA and USSS I bet will be visiting that airport soon to tell those locals to knock it off.

1736 NOBLE in contact on 122.700 CTAF which is Chester County airport freq but lost sight of him.
1738 NOBLE 21 thinks aircraft has come to full stop and req to reset CAP. NOBLE-22 req same on 317.550.
Guess they will have to get another A/R before heading home.
1741 NOBLE-22 back up on 132.525 climbing back up..
1742 Huntress 260.900 NOBLE req tanker to stay on station till we get another A/R.
1743 NOBLE-22 says he is Marsa with ADVICE 62 and NOBLE-21 on 132.525.

Checking tape had another intercept at 1648 local earlier with NOBLE calling aircraft N2463Y on Guard
southwest of CAP warned him that he was approaching TFR. Warns aircraft 8 miles East of Hartfield and got
aircraft to turn West away from the TFR.. No wonder I heard the NOBLES overhead out my way :)
NOBLE-22 was in contact on 121,500 ,"Do you see the F-16 off your left wing? Told him to sw to Ctr 125.525
for instructions.. Looks like they had 3 intercepts today..
1803 local NOBLES A/A 328.500 heading home via Reading area now.
Chatting about their adventures today.. "We had 4 commits today"? Well one commit we didn't have to leave CAP.

I use a BCD-396XT connected to a Diamond discone (D130-J) up 20 feet from the ground. Fast scan rate and pretty sensitive radio.
I am 800 feet from Long Island Sound with an elevation of 130 feet above sea level.
Does that 100/second scan fast enough to pick up most of the stuff?

Yes. I split up my freqs into different areas too so if there is an exercise say in W-105, I only scan the freqs for that area ect...
How do you figure out which freqs are for what areas then? i have the midatlantic list added to my list now and was wondering how you guys label your unknown freqs

Anyone got ID for Ctr 125.525? Is it VHF Philly 317.550 paired low or something like that.
Thought I heard them say Wash Ctr but not sure.. Might have just said Center.

BTW saw post that the new Greek F-16 going to Texas will pair up with 3 Shaw F-16's
coming West in the next couple of days. Look for the BLUE :) No sense using a tanker for a single F-16.

Living in South Jersey, hearing the CAP pretty clear was interesting listening today.

Curious if anyone is within monitor distance of Huntress ground comms. I understand them to be stationed out of Rome NY. Curious what the other side of the comms sounds like.

0635 ADVICE-63 #58-0054 entering CAP area with Huntress 260.900. Tells them that wx runs to at
least FL28.5 and clear above that. Huntress told them apparently plan is for 25-26k and ADVICE-63
says we can go down to that but the fighters are not gonna like it.. Now talk of changing the block to FL290-FL300.
0655 NOBLE-01,02 to tanker 247.050. Tails 125 and 428,"You guys North Dakoters? Rgr that.

More info on that Greek F-16 now flying US Reg..
