Looks like Griffin CP at ADW (378.1) might be working again. Last couple of days acft have been calling that CP and they seem to be getting responses.
Had DEED-138 C-17 #02-1098 trying Andrews tonight and no response.
It almost seems on purpose they don't want some folks using CP freqs for info.
Dover notam says 349.400 is intermittent on working.. Just seems like odd timing.
Even with McGuire good CP radios not getting many inbound messages from them either.
Maybe forcing them to use more Satcoms and phone internet.

On the lighter side E-4B #75-0125 off MacDill back to 80's movie callsigns with year released.
BUELR86 from 1986 movie Ferris Buellers Day Off. :) Famous for Ben Stein as teacher scene calling Bueller,Bueller,Bueller LOL

1622- Hearing couple of acft ( no calls noted-sound like Ospreys) on 273.95 (HMX-1). Chatting about QSY to 124.55 (Potomac TRACON) .Maybe POTUS entrourage heading for Camp David?
got tis-bs for Nighthawk 31 Flt to and from Philadelphia today.

I heard 09-0017 return to ADW today as SAM97. Can anyone confirm the call sign?

I caught CAP tanker 62-3526 on their racetracks this evening. Looks like they're operating out of Dover.

Yes, SAM 97 is heard at the beginning of the 2130Z LiveATC PHL Tower reel and MC97 is used in the ACARS messages for that leg.

The normal CAP tracks aren't working out so well with the weather. MUDDY41 flight (probably OH ANG) are the fighters. Just now getting in contact with GUARDDOG, they are 'holding hands with the tanker' for now. Rough time on the boom during first top off.
Using 247.05 for the tanker, KC-135 62-3578 NJ ANG ADVICE11 operating out of Dover . They are moving to the ESL VOR for now to get out of the weather.

0627- ADVICE11 flight of three contacting ZDC on 319.1. No answer, given 282.2.
0632- Now going to 285.6 which makes more sense.
MUDDYs confirmed as F-16s. They will be in a pattern with 20-mile legs. They've requested higher than their block that tops at FL260 because they're still in the clouds.

0640- CAP is now being cancelled. MUDDYs will top off and relieve the tanker of some of weight and everyone will RTB. Fighters weren't happy about getting up at 0345 for this.

Rain/sleet has changed to snow in my area now.

One MUDDY41 said AR was like riding a bronco. About 500ft visibility. 42 won't bother with AR.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Travel pool report #10: Departing for airport

Motorcade departed the school at 3:49 pm on the way to the airport. Demonstrators outside of the school were gathered in support of Ukraine.

From the airport, POTUS will detach from pool and take Marine One to Camp David. Pool will take the plane to JBA without him.
Philly PD Citywide tg blocking tfc for motorcade; USSS on 164.8 P25E CH:Xray-C; Charlie 100 telling Phila PD on Citywide tg to tell guy climbing up crane that he has to come back down until the motorcade passes.

The was a post recently--which has apparently been removed, regarding A photo of a white C-32 being refused by a tanker.... This link gives details of this type of aircraft and it's operational... Thses aircraft had been seen practicing approaches here at ACY.. Boeing C-32B - USAF Special Operations

The USSS has a number of freqs designated as Xray-A (XA) thru Xray-S (XS); all VHF.

Ah okay looking again at your post I see that it is all connected. 164.800 is XRAY-C (frequency / designation) Of course 164.800 is the Philadelphia Field Office frequency as I have known it for years. Multiple receive sites with separate NACs.

Yeah sometimes I have to edit my post several times before I get everything spelled correctly. Not sure why the computer cannot spell things properly (oh wait never mind). Anyway yes that is the FEST aircraft (Boeing 757-200). Many times they are practicing refueling with various tankers. Normal training flights are TERRA call sign. Especially out over the Atlantic.

Guys,

Forwarding this on from another list just in case some of you might be interested.

FYI

The Canadian International DX Club, Canada's national radio monitoring club, has prepared a special 10-page feature article "Focus on Ukraine", providing dozens of links to information sources on the conflict in Ukraine, including a lot of radio information. The feature is available through our webpage at https://cidxclub.ca/ukraine/
