Req quick turn after downloads back to Dover.

Last night had a BULLY-50 inbound McGuire from Miramar req parking and crew trans for 5.
Turns out was McGuire C-17 #04-4131.. Coincidence Royal-50 and Bully-50 in from West Coast?

As the sun comes up in Eastern Europe, RQ-4B FORTE 11 out of Sigonella, Sicily continues to squawk a lost comm 7600 code over the Black Sea and appears to abort today's mission with a return to base. EP-3E PQ54 comes off station over Romania and returns to Souda Bay, Crete.

Huntress must be using a transmitter friom up my way (NY area). I am getting them loud and clear, where usually when the CAP is down there, I never hear Huntress, only the Tanker and the Noble aircraft (because of their height).
Given my close proximity to the EADS you would think I could hear Huntress all the time, however, I’ve only heard Huntress a hand full of times. For example, practice scramble and intercepts in the Northeast, the time when two E-3s orbited over the NY/VT border, and when the MA ANG does training with EADS in the Viper airspace. Anyone know why I don’t hear Huntress talking? Or how I can be able to?

It's just a matter of what transmitter they use. Depending on who they are talking to, they have the ability to switch to multiple antenna transmitters. What happened yesterday is the F-15's out of Barnes were up to go to the CAP down at Annapolis. So Huntress was using a transmitter close to Mass. (probably Shelton,Ct. remote) when they first took off from Barnes. As they got down south of NY, I think they forgot to switch transmitters right away. so I was hearing Huntress for quite a while. But it depends on your equipment and monitoring location of course. But mostly, it depends on which transmitter they use at any given time.

Sometimes I can hear Huntress on 139.7 & 260.9 from my location just outside of Baltimore. I'm only about 30 miles away from the DC area so there has to be a Huntress remote fairly close by.

1031- TIS-B target just landed at Republic
1031- DEVILs chatting on 298.6, sound close to me
