Was a C-17. They had the exact aircraft (01-0186) on display at the airshow a few weekends back.Hoping someday that Dover C-5M crew get same for evacuating 850 people on single flight from Afghanistan.
I don't think a Airbus A388 could hold that many folks

I haven't heard much B-2 activity lately, my first clue that they were in the area was a strong encoded burst on CONR-3 uplink 297.525.

I was in Anchorage, Alaska a few years ago on an early spring day and came across a ceremony at the WWII memorial in the Park Strip.
A gentleman was receiving a very belated Distinguished Flying Cross for saving his aircraft and crew in World War II by climbing into the unpressurized and unheated B-24 bomb bay to make an inflight fuel line repair. The citation for the medal was prepared, endorsed and then lost somewhere in a Pentagon file during the war. A young Penn Air pilot heard the story decades later, tracked down the paperwork and got the award processed in 2013.
I chatted with the guy on the left with the black hat in the first picture for a while about how much we owe to the Greatest Generation. I later found out that he was Don Young, Alaska's sole U.S. Congressman. Mr. Young passed away in March of this year after 49 years in the House of Representatives.

Second military plane goes off runway in Sioux Falls this month
This is the second time this month a military plane has gone off the Sioux Falls Regional Airport runway. The last incident occurred May 11.
On Friday, June 3, the Vice President and Second Gentleman will travel to Reno, Nevada and Los Angeles. She will remain in LA for the week of June 6th.

According to posts on another list, looks like there are some civilian-owned KC-135s running around. I wasn't aware of these guys.
Here are the tail numbers
N569MA (A7496D, ex 63-8009) Meta Aerospace scheme, old tail number is on the top of the tail.
“This aircraft (N569MA) is not available for public tracking per request from the owner/operator.”
N571MA (A75334, ex 61-0325) Meta Aerospace scheme, old tail number is on the top of the tail.
N572MA is currently registered as a B717, but there are photos of it in the old grey AF paint scheme.

N573MA (A75AA2, ex 63-8016) the old grey AF paint scheme

WWII weekend at Reading Regional airport June 3,4,5. Lots of WWII a/c will be heading to the airport this week.
They provide the same contract refueling services as Omega Air
