New to monitoring Mil Air, trying to find all of the channels for the DMV is proving complicated. As someone mostly interested in helicopter traffic, is there anywhere that has a good list of frequencies to watch? I'm pretty limited in what I can hear, but so far all I have is DCA 134.35 and the Mussel channels. Additionally, does anyone know who uses callsign Buffalo? I think it might be 12th Aviation Battalion as I heard one of them mention Davison airfield, but I don't know what frequency they normally use either.

T-Birds had a great flyover at Indy 500 race Sunday.. Their second pass with bomb break? really was cool.

A video clip of Air Force pilots being asked about how they liked the great new Navy Pilot movie :) :

My Pan Am classmate Jeff was an Air Force pilot. His Navy pilot brother Greg, 'Hollywood', is in the credits for the original Top Gun movie. 'I'll never top that...' he lamented.

Any idea why they sometimes go to BCSP rather than ILG? Heavy traffic on 141?
From what I noticed is when they have limited participation from DelDOT or Police agencies not picking up the over time just easier to take the back roads to the park then main roads and highways. Locals were complaining about “joe jam” and that’s when they switched to using BCSP. There may be an actual reason as to why one or the other but that’s all based on what I have observed.

Better vid of Maryland A-10's into always chilly looking Scotland.. Lots of photogs on ridge to the right.
Don't see crowds like this at Martin State :) One poster said this was the flight of the decade onto Prestwick.
Another poster says off to Iceland tomorrow before hitting the States. With just two KC-135's along that may be correct.

Just heard 2 unid a/c on 249.525 @1005L.

Hi Rich-
Two F-18G Growlers SKYBOLT (VAQ-131) were at KFRG for the weekend. I am told they are local guys and come in for the Jones Beach air show every year. I caught them on 249.525 departing Tuesday am. Also, RAIDER VFA-125 departing on 311.225 a2a and demo at the show, and RAPTOR demo departing 290.625 a2a then on Giant Killer.

VFA-125 F-35C Demo Team RAIDER ONE (they also seem to answer to RAIDER 01) passed me here in Kentucky at FL230 standard chatting on 311.225.

In the clip below they discuss the light winds aloft going home to Navy Lemoore in California. Sounds like they have the Foreflight app on their iPads for navigation but, unlike some other planes, they don't get inflight data updates.

The F-22 Raptor Demo Team sells a lot of merch (merchandise) at the airshows with a high markup but the proceeds are donated and the funding for the trips comes from elsewhere.

Those Raptor guys have neat uniforms, wish ours were better. Sounds like they talk about another demo team (F/A-18 Super Hornets?) with someone named Baylor.

The maintenance troops are coming home on an airliner, it would be nice to pass it with a wing waggle salute to the folks who keep the jets running.

Isn't 340.250 usually a 121st freq? Odd to see it used by helicopters.

1038- Have 2 fighters that went overhead, showing as TIS-B, doing loops over Monmouth County, NJ. Assume they're staging for a flyover somewhere. No ATC comms notes anywhere. Evan ran my close call when they were overhead.
1102- Both fighters still circling over central Monmouth County.
snagged the A/A 235.4

VFA-131 uses that freq, but I can't find any references to them doing a flyover.

Rgr after some more listening turned out was Huntress type chase drill as heard Komodo 4 call
out to a BRAVE callsign unit which is 121st F-16. They had simulated chase with unknown aircraft and asked
them on Pax 256.500 "Please wiggle your wings if you copy". There prob was a low level Coastie chopper or
chase plane also involved. Also heard some F-16 weak A/A 143.600 but were so low altitude in that area.

I had VFA-131 WILDCAT-11 going North towards Teterboro this weekend if you saw my previous post on this and they came back South this morning as WILDCAT-11. Maybe was them on A/A 235.400.Between airshow and Fleetweek in NYC was a lot of Navy action this past weekend.

After long weekend and fairly quiet except for NYC transit area seems the entire US Mil is up today on ADSB.. :)

See report the 10 Maryland A-10's departed Scotland and made Iceland today..
See if they make it home tomorrow..
Earlier today I saw BLUE-81 KC-10 #83-0076 headed for Texas and Euro report says arrived Fort Worth.
Supposedly making delivery of some more F-35A's to RAF Lakenheath also tomorrow so expect them to start early.
Back in early April here BLUE-81 and F-35's ended up diverting to Savannah as tanker BLUE-82 up North scratched.
I think they were down there for a spell almost 2 weeks before finally getting across.
