2106- Been listening to these guys for a little while now. L/C here in NJ. I have this listed as an AWACS frequency. I see RCH548 is just south of Long Island. Probably who I'm hearing.

From the satcom ACARS they are going from Meridian, Mississippi to Geilenkirchen AB in Germany. I guess they are with the Mississippi Air National Guard.

Geilenkirchen is a NATO AWACS base so maybe that's where they got the freq.

Tanker is HAPPY 11, boom on 352.6, chat on 149.65 AM passing Kentucky.

In the clip below T-Bird 8 has a cabin pressure problem, cabin alt is about 14000 feet, should be about 8500 at cruise. Cabin altitude cross checked with cockpit indication, Stratus puck and pilot's watch with a baro sensor. The flight surgeon is riding in the back seat today.

One of the pilots reminisces about his rapid-D (rapid decompression) on the way to Ocean City last year. It was sudden (by definition) and the cockpit instantly filled with fog. He and a wingman went down to FL180 and had enough gas to make it to Ocean City by slowing to max range airspeed.
