Good evening,

The 159FW F-15s were returning from San Juan to New Orleans this evening, but not everything went on as planned ....

CUBE 11 flight diverted to Homestead ARB as one of the F-15s had a landing gear problem and declared
an inflight emergency with Miami center. CUBE 21 as a flight of three continued to New Orleans NAS [KNBG].

BOBBY 61 (58-0035) went to Fairchild AFB and BOBBY 71 ( 58-0069) to MacDill AFB. They were on Coronet South 814.

One of these CAP pilots did some time as a Marine.
Seems like every USAF ANG F-15C CAP squadron thru here has a ex Hornet pilot or two.
I guess not a hard transition from Hornet to F-15 and USAF ANG prob has a sweet deal for these guys.

ZORA-02 E-6B #163918 on way from Tinker to looks like Pax River.
BLACKWOLF-14 E-11A GLEX jet #11-9001 headed this way too.Usually uses the VELCRO callsign,
Mostly hangs around the US anymore ever since we got out of Afghanistan. They were great at relaying radio coms over
mountainous areas.

Hey guys, quick question, I spotted this military aircraft Zulu82 around 7:10 a.m. along the Mexican border flying a little over 60,000 ft. No other information was included. Can I assume this is a surveillance plane?

Okay got it, solar powered drone, I guess that explains the slow speed, very wide wingspan. Very interesting, seems to be in the same area as earlier this morning. Very cool, thanks.
Working its way back to Yuma AZ. Notice that is the fastest I have ever seen it move today at 69 knots. Normally around 35 knots. :)
Must have a upper level tail wind.

Yep that 47kt this morning was a head scratcher. I don't know what keeps it from just blowing away, it must have very advanced guidance systems, I'm going to take a closer look at the info on the previous post.

I have to be careful on this thread, I do track the Philly news Choppers and listen to their air-to-air aviation frequencies and UHF news desks.. I live close to McGuire and Willow Grove and this could become very, very addictive ;)... Bob.
