NASA P-3 N426NA is flying missions to 'broaden the ethnic and racial diversity of researchers in the Earth sciences'. The program is designed for first- and second-year undergraduates enrolled at Minority-Serving Institutions to participate in an authentic NASA field research campaign.

NASA Aircraft Conducting Atmospheric Studies Over DC to Baltimore
P3 Fueling for IMPACTS flight

A NASA aircraft will fly over the I-95 corridor from Washington to Baltimore and Hampton, Virginia, in support of an atmospheric campaign in the mid-Atlantic region between July 5 and 16, 2022.

The four-engine turboprop P-3 aircraft, based at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia, will fly five days during the 12-day period at altitudes from 1,000 to 10,000 feet.

Each flight during the campaign will include one low-level pass at 1,000 feet over I-95, two spiral tracks, ascending and descending, over Baltimore, and one spiral track over Greenbelt, Maryland.

Additional passes during each flight will include a 1,000-foot pass over the Chesapeake Bay and one spiral track over Hampton, Virginia.

The P-3 can be tracked in real-time at NASA Airborne Science Program Tracker. Look for the plane icon labeled NASA P-3 (N426NA). Also, flight updates will be available via the Wallops Facebook and Twitter sites. The day before a flight, Wallops will post the estimated time the P-3 aircraft will fly over the I-95 corridor and Hampton.

The P-3 aircraft will carry instruments collecting atmospheric data over variable surface types such as urban, rural, vegetation and water to support a variety of scientific projects. The flight path was selected to correspond with ground instrumentation and previous NASA science flights. This allows scientists to compare the data with other instruments and time periods.

The flights are part of the Students Airborne Science Activation (SaSa) program coordinated by the NASA Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, California. This summer, the first student participants in the SaSa program will spend eight weeks gaining hands-on experience in all components of a scientific research campaign.

SaSa is on a mission to broaden the ethnic and racial diversity of researchers in the Earth sciences. The program is designed for first- and second-year undergraduates enrolled at Minority-Serving Institutions to participate in an authentic NASA field research campaign. Students from Howard University in Washington; University of Maryland Baltimore County, Coppin State University, and Morgan State University – all three in Baltimore, Maryland; University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, Maryland; and Hampton University in Virginia, are participating the inaugural SaSa class.

To help retain students for careers in the geosciences, SaSa aims to make its participants feel welcome and supported in the field. The program offers multiple kinds of mentoring, discussions of the barriers faced and tools that helped others overcome the challenges to be retained in STEM, professional development, and networking opportunities.

Bit off topic as a UPS B748 N608UP only a few years old departs KPHL airport that arrived from Australia with tons of Bubs baby formula.
Don't get many B748 types into Philly. The UPS hub their is mostly for shorter haul A-306 cargo types but occasional DC-10/MD-11 and B748's on busy UPS ramp early on some mornings. What a beauty that UPS B747-8 cargo type.

Thank you Australia :)

At 6:25PM CDT, the Vice President will depart Chicago, Illinois en route Washington, D.C.

Departure most likely delayed due to VP making an OTR stop while in Chicago. Anyone wanna bet headed to Highland Park?

UPDATE:
Reportable at 6:30pm CT: The Vice President visiting Highland Park, Illinois. She will be accompanied by Mayor Nancy Rotering, Congressman Brad Schneider, and State Senator Julie Morrison. Mayor Rotering invited the Vice President to join her in Highland Park following her speech to the NEA National Assembly.

File that crap under too much information here.. :) Don't be a stalker. Nobody cares what the VP is doing with whomever in Chicago.
Posting Govt aircraft movements are ok but detailed travel stuff is not needed.. Sick of our Politicos as it is.

I caught 00-9001 on final today to ADW.

Nice pic! Based at McGuire AFB assigned under FEST (Foreign Emergency Support Team)
This tail has been doing a lot of local airports assume pilot/crew training recently usually under TERRA-97 callsign
But when landing Andrews prob off soon to a mission with weird random callsign.
All white to remain inconspicuous I assume but everyone seems to see it arriving :)

I caught 00-9001 on final today to ADW.

00-9001 is a C-32B, similar to the VIP C-32A Boeing 757-200s based at Andrews with a couple of notable differences. The C-32Bs have Rolls Royce engines, the C-32As have Pratt motors. Also, unlike the C-32As, the C-32Bs have inflight refueling capability.

There appear to be at least four C-32Bs currently in operation, two with the 150th Special Operations Squadron of the New Jersey Air National Guard at McGuire AFB and two at Eglin AFB, Florida with the 486th Flight Test Squadron. There may be more than four airframes and several registrations have been seen over the years.

There were also what appeared to be C-32Bs with civilian registrations N226G and N610G operating to places like Rabat, Morocco, Manama, Bahrain and U-Tapao, Thailand, locations associated in the past with 'extraordinary rendition' activity. These planes appeared to be based at Mobile Downtown Airport in LA (Lower Alabama ;) ).

Google's imagery for Mobile Downtown Airport somewhat humorously still shows one of these mysterious 757s on the ramp with the old COMCO logo on the tail. I haven't seen any online tracking information for N226G or N610G for at least a couple of years now. Photos of these planes seem to show the hasps for padlocks on the aircraft exit doors also seen on the C-32Bs.

The USAF C-32B ops manual is here: afman11-2c-32bv3.pdf

Here's a picture of 00-9001 I took as the plane descended for a landing in Louisville, Kentucky a few months ago.

And, the Google photo of the white COMCO 757 on the ramp at BFM.

Here was the ADSB / MLAT when it landed. There was a TIS-B ghost/ echo too that showed up too

Something that catches my eye on your screen capture is that the area around the U.S. flag and registration number appear to be masked out when compared to my earlier picture above of the same plane. It might just be an artifact of the video processing, but these guys are rumored to have a busy paint shop. :)

Try 371.250 for BISON interplane. I’ve logged them on that before.
Yeah that’s confirmed for me too, also had them on their command post 340.025.

1140 - Someone entering the Viper airspace on Viper common (226.300).
1145 - SLAM 01 with ZBW 323.000, they’re exiting the Viper airspace, must’ve missed the entry.
