Today I saw several of the Ospreys in ME.
freqhopping,
Listen to MACjets (their base at PWM) on 130.925 as they call them on their way inbound. Most of the calls are, "CROSSBOW 31 inbound ten minutes out for hot refuel (or cold refuels)". Most of the flights have been singles flying to many of the airports in the northeast doing IFR, VFR approaches, hovers, and landings. Brunswick seems to be their quick go to airport for training which is probably why you've seen them allot in Freeport/Falmouth areas. Punch in Brunswick Unicom on 122.725 to hear them in the pattern. Many pilots in rotation getting their times in. Sometimes they take off as a flight of two and return to Portland as a flight doing carrier breaks before landing. My son has many pictures and videos while working them on the ramp. He was even able to hot refuel them with the blades running and blowing the hot air down on him. Haven't recorded much A-A chatter on their freqs since they mostly have been single flights.

C-40 21-0024 AE64CC working it's way through weather on ADSB-X, off from Van Nuys airport earlier today --

Interesting flight pattern on way back west out of Raleigh, went low over Billings and did a few circles before heading west again. Currently headed back east approaching South Dakota from Portland. Missed them yesterday, wondering if a trip to the airport today might be worth it.

In flight now at ADS-B Exchange - tracking thousands of aircraft also tracking on FlightRadar24 as N712JM.

1400 local NOBLE,11,12 have a TOI chasing going Northeast at 1000 feet.
Seems they just followed it at altitude over top of it out of the zone. Back in their normal pattern quickly.

Now doing racetracks around Ft Wayne Int'l, had hoped it'd head back to Raleigh.

On Monday, August 8, the President and the First Lady will travel to Eastern Kentucky landing at Blue Grass Airport, WestLEX General Aviation Services, in Lexington, KY. Arrival will be about 10:45am, no word on departure.

21-0024 flew from Portland, Oregon PDX to Portland, Maine PSM today. Sounds fishy to me. :)

Yesterday they shot several instrument approaches to a missed approach or touch and go at Billings, Montana. The callsign sounded like CLONE 27.

Today they stayed in the pattern at Fort Wayne, Indiana using a new callsign of ARISE 43 and did some landings. Probably not testing the aircraft but getting several pilots current and qualified in the 737 is my guess.

Hmmm. Five-letter callsigns that change daily. Haven't we seen that somewhere else before? The E-6s maybe? Perhaps this isn't an ordinary C-40/BBJ conversion.

See: The Mysterious Case Of The Air Force's New Strangely Modified 737 With A Puzzling Past (thedrive.com)

I'll attach an edited clip of the LiveATC feeds for BIL and FWA. See if you hear the same callsigns.
