Sure could be. At 10:40 am EDT on 254.6 I heard '[REGION or REGENT?] from REACH ... you are cleared to FL250' on 254.6. That LIGHTNING ONE callsign I heard on interplane was perhaps just a generic usage among the delivery pilots. I've got two AirSpy R2s running, I'll check them as time permits to see if they got any checkins. In the trailing static of the interplane conversation I thought I heard Maine mentioned.

Sounded like those F-35 O2 masks in the reply to REACH. I've attached the brief clip from 254.6, see if you can catch the callsign of the fighters. My callsign guesses are famously tone-deaf even with the help of Ron's list. :)
Bill

I hear it as REGENT

Norwegian 332A flt inbound KBGR, F35s

Norwegian 332A it is. (y)

Here's the checkin with Indy Center on 134.7 from LiveATC after the refueling. REACH 081 seems to refer to the F-35s as NAL or NOW 332A. Or do I need one of those new non-prescription hearing aids? :)

Did you do a tour in VP-5 Madfox?
Hell no, just a professional P8 chaser :ROFLMAO:

I served in a sister VP squadron with RAF exchange crewmembers in the 1970s. My RAF Squadron Leader Patrol Plane Commander's father was a retired Air Commodore. He gave me the cook's tour of his old school, Clare College, Cambridge.

He led me walking across the Clare College Courtyard and the porter came running out of his lodge to inform us that the courtyard was closed to visitors.

'But not to Senior Members of the University!' was the Air Commodore's testy reply. :)

Seems to be a change (or FAA mistake) for next weekend, FAA Safety Notice issued for Rehoboth (issued today), rather than Wilmington (issued yesterday).

VIP Movement Notification - Rehoboth Beach, DE
Notice Number: NOTC2560

Notice: Expect VIP movement August 26, 2022 to August 28, 2022 in the vicinity of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Pilots can expect temporary airspace restrictions in conjunction with this VIP movement.

I just moved to downtown DC with my short range FM radio/receiver. Other than HMX 143.825, does anyone know of any good FM frequencies to monitor?
okay HMX-1 is doing landing practice tonight on the south lawn (while POTUS is away on vacation). Does anyone know how the pilots communicate with the White House controller? Presumably that’s an FM freq like the rest of HMX-1 comms.
