Does anyone have any experience with the bus setup for Andrews--how long it takes to get from the Stadium and how long it takes to walk to the ramp? Trying to time my arrival tomorrow.
In past shows their bus service has been really good and they drop you right off at the ramp so
not far to walk.Good advice though is depart while the T-Birds are up in the air.You will get out much quicker :)

From my experience the earlier the better as to arrival time, the opportunities for good photos on the ramp are better then . I like to examine the aircraft up close and personal which is next to impossible once the crowds arrive,. But the first thing I do is stake a claim on a spot for viewing the aerial action.

I read tripods are allowed. Just double checking.
Yeah they have sort of have TSA check in lines before you get on the bus.Got to dump your gear in bins and empty your pockets
but they are usually very nice with this.If you can bring chairs am sure tripods are no problem.

2035 local AF-2 #99-0003 inbound Andrews from Chicago.Meeting of the Einstein Mensa Club out there LOL
2040 local EXEC-1F #98-0001 Eastbound Kansas City area from Los Angeles.

1003- Have C-17 DEED 190 into JFK airport from Quantico. Also hearing weak chatter on HMX-1 273.95 mentioning runways.
1013- ADSB shows 2 TIS-B targets approaching JFK. Could be HMX-1 helos. Chatter on 273.95 got stronger.
1021- The 2 TIS-B targets landed at JFK right where DEED 190 is parked.

For today's trip to England, looks like 82-8000 is AF1 by default, 09-0016 is SAM 46 and I'm guessing that 09-0018 will be the third plane with a spoofed callsign and hex ID.

82-8000 and 09-0016 will park at Stansted Airport EGSS.

E-4B 73-1676 GRIM 99 just launched from Warner Robins AFB, Georgia to position, possibly to RAF Mildenhall, to cover the AF1 visit.
