So DCA controller asked everyone on 134.35 (DCA Heli) to switch to 133.525 on Monday night after a PAT H-60 had a stuck mic. I guess that's the heli UHF freq? A few months ago the controller asked all the helicopters on 134.35 to switch to 257.6 (TWR UHF) for the same reason, so maybe they got a UHF freq for helicopters since then? FWIW, the controller was simulcasting on 134.35 and 133.525 for the few minutes when everyone was switching over.

Now that you mention it, I've been listening all day and haven't heard any traffic on 134.35 or 257.6. Very odd--there's usually a ton of Mussels, and various medevac, news etc helos on it. . I also have 133.525 in my scanner and have heard nothing on it.

I just got home so I can't speak for all day, but I've been hearing 134.35 (with controller simulcasting with 119.1) consistently. No helos out today because of the weather so it's just fixed wing traffic in and out of DCA.

I don't see 133.525 listed anywhere or what it would be called. Anyone have further info on this frequency?

I spotted that drone RICCO 26 circling over North Dakota this morning at 4:30 am, then tracked it out off the coast of NC. Then it stopped tracking. It must have started tracking again after I left for work.

1710- Got bunch of foreign acft in the area. Australian AF B-737 off of ADW heading west, Kuwaiti AF C-17 off DOV inbound to Dulles & New Zealand AF 757 looks to be inbound to Dulles as well.
Reference the Aussie 737, the annual US-Australia ministerial just wrapped up (with Foreign Minister and Defense Minister) in DC so I guess they’re sharing a plane for the long ride home.

Also, unrelated, the UK Defense Secretary was in town today. Probably flew in on one of their two RAF Falcons.

0854- Scan 04 (CRJ-7 N804X NGTF) comms check w/Speilberg (unid grnd stn) on Northrop discretes (123.225 & 275.2). In the past, callsign Speilberg has appeared to be some sort of mobile/vehicle target for the Scan acft. Scan 4 is working w/unid acft on 275.2.

0905- Ascot 4502 (RAF A-400 ZM415) off NAS Chambers heading west.
