Where or what is "the box" ?

Box = six sided object made from cardboard.....oh wait .......

Here based on monitoring appears to be where the box is. The ship Regulus is at the upper rightmost point of the box (I accidentally drew the line right through it). Probably some sort of surface vessel activity. Nothing noted being related to Wallops until the 19th of February.

Terry,

I'm hearing odd traffic on 123.2 between two acft, one callsign 52. 123.2 is usually the Test Pilot School Ops freq. Not sure if this is NTPS related or assoc with your offshore box acty.

Monitoring that 123.200 on one radio now.
One of the acft has a strange sounding xmitter. Also sounds like they are working with an unheard stn--ground stn?

Ron

They may be working with Boeing ops in Millville NJ ..... I am monitoring the freq from both PA and NJ sites. If they were talking to Boeing in Ridley Park (ground) I would hear them quite well. Sounds like they are testing inputs to the rotor hubs for blade performance. The other station is probably monitoring the actions while flying chase.

That is the rotor noise on the audio......very distinctive sound.
Nothing is showing from PAX on ADS-B. Wonder if these could be a couple of Ospreys that the NTPS is using. They don't normally use V-22s, but could be integrating them into the inventory/curriculum? Just heard one of them make ref to "hovering". One of the acft id'd self as "chase".

About 30min ago (2:15pm) I had an armed Blackhawk fly over me about 10 miles N of Lakehurst, along with another unarmed UH-60 escorting it. I see many blackhawks around here but this is a first for me. Only a TIS-B hit showing up.

Sounds more like Boeing flight test operations in the South Jersey area. Signal is actually stronger at PA site then at NJ site.

Ground station is TM (aka Telemetry)

For our Ohio folks, on Thursday, February 17, the President will travel to Cleveland and Lorain, Ohio, the arrival and departure will be at Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport. Estimated AF1 arrival should be about 1:10 PM ET with departure about 4:10 PM ET
