is it my imagination.. or does the dispatcher on white dispatcher cut out a lot ?

Yes some times it does sound like the audio clips off, also you can hear just how bad the 42mhz system is for motor units and some of the cars.... when they are using their extenders... The 112 South Sac units were able to communicate with the 62 S unit on scene to set up round robin that was a improvement. cbs13 / CW31 had live video and it is amazing that there were no fatalities with some of the accordioned small cars between larger vehicles. White 2 has been very quiet for the last 15 minutes though here... sounds like they went to a weaker repeater, had to open the squelch more.

it doesnt have anything to do with the 42mhz system per se

the avr is detuned to 45 microvolts - this is supposed to detune it so that other units farther away dont activate the avr

but they are detuned so badly if they move more than a few hundred ft (at times) they will drop out of their avr

the xmitters vote and steer depending on which mtn top hears the mobile the best
