where can i find the usad for the uniden 996t i have accidently deleted this and i cannot remember how to obtain this ,this is where you can online control and do some configurations to the scanner without being online any help on this thanks.

Why use the UASD at all? FreeScan (it's freeware) is far and away better, it supports the newer firmware versions and can use the UASD files you have as input.

Really there isn't any reason to keep using the outdated UASD at all...best regards..Mike

No offense to you or your suggestion, but there are some people out there (including myself) that actually do like to use the UASD software.
I have freescan and do use it from time to time, but I also like my UASD. :)

I have freescan and do use it from time to time, but I also like my UASD. :)

Personal preference comes into play for sure but Mike has a point.
UASD is a software that is no longer supported and does not have the most
user friendly GUI and only works for the 996t.
Freescan on the other hand works for most Uniden DMA scanners
which means that if the initial poster buys another Uniden Scanner
in the future he will be able to easily transfer memory files between radios.
Freescan also has a more user friendly GUI.
Mike was attempting to lead the initial poster towards an all around more
robust software package that also has more overall options. :)
But it does come down to what you feel most comfortable using. :)
