Strange Sound on lower frequencies

Hello! I am a new scanner user down here in South Louisiana and I bought a Uniden Bearcat BC355N. This model allows me to scan in different bands like PD/FD/EMG AIR/MRN and CB as I'm sure you all are very well aware. I can scan the local marine frequencies just fine and hear maritime boat traffic, emergency responders, air traffic control, etc. and I have no complaints and no issues with that. But on some of the lower frequencies around 35MHz to something in the 45MHz range, I get this insanely loud laser beam sound. It almost sounds like a 56K modem on steroids. If it was just a couple channels I wouldn't be concerned but I have locked out a TON of them. For example, 46.3800MHz only sometimes has this sound, then it goes away and seems to "jump" to another channel in the scanner range. Sometimes you can hear talking but it's definitely not coherent as the "laser beam" sound is far too loud. It's like trying to have a conversation next to an industrial generator.

Long shot but is there a way to stop this? It's laborious to have to L/O these channels. I've got close to 50 of them so far on permanent lockout and I'm sure this scanner has a limit to how many channels I can lockout. I do have a recording of it but I'm not sure I can post that here.

Thank you in advance for any information, advice, tips or otherwise you can provide me!

Does this just happen in your home, or do you hear it other places?
I would have to bring it out for a car-ride to see. But I have a 10' BNC connection to another magnetic base car antenna for it. The antenna is about 20 feet away hanging down from the suspended ceiling at the corner of my home. I wanted to have a better solution than this, but I do believe that this signal is not originating from my home.

I do have an audio clip wav of it, though. If you could suggest a place to uploaded it I can provide access.
Thanks

Yeah, so could be something in your home making the noise. A lot of consumer electronics are quite noisy. Taking the scanner outside the house would be a good experiment. Then we troubleshoot from there.

If it doesn't go away when you leave the house, then possible it's a strong nearby paging system, trunked radio system control channel, or something else spewing forth noise.

It's not always an easy thing to determine, and not always an easy fix.
