There are several ways to make the pi solution work for you. If you need help, just ask. Any model pi with a usb and ethernet port will work.

The above discussed pi option works with anything that sends audio out through a 3.5mm audio cable, i.e., an Ext Sp jack, a Line Out jack, etc.

My free RadioFeed should work too. A couple of disadvantages using the Raspberry Pi solution. 1) No text tags such as channel name, frequency, TGID, etc. will show in the media player. 2) VLC player is needed so other players such as WinAmp will not work.

No VLC player needed if setting up a Zello channel or if an icecast server is set up on the pi. Setting up an icecast server on the pi is by far the easiest solution to what was requested, audio only on the local netwo4k.

"easiest solution"? Maybe for you. What about the learning curve? Your solution sounds like more software is involved. RadioFeed has a built in server that emulates an icecast server. It sounds like the user is interested in using RadioFeed/ProScan accordingly to a message I received

I’m wondering if I’d be able use your software to stream from my scanner that’s in a outbuilding about 200’ from my home to a PC that’s in my home.

I was thinking an app would be required on the pc (house side) to listen my scanner. I don’t believe that’s the case now. I just need to be able to transmit the audio from point A to B. I think a raspberry pi will do what I need it to.

As Bob recommended in post #26... If you're just looking for audio streaming, I currently use Proscan's "Radio Feed" software to stream audio only from my Radio Shack / Whistler scanners to web browsers... very easy to set up and works great.
