There have been a few instances in the past few weeks in which Suscom has activated a channel marker tone until responding units ask to lift the radio restriction. I have not heard that tone since I was living out in California. The interesting thing is that I haven't heard the use of that tone from either Recom or Kentcom.

Depending on the situation (officer safety) to remind others on the channel there is a radio restriction.
