Main Channel 460.225 CTCSS 118.8

For a minute or two, their main channel went scrambled. Specifically it went into a Voice Inversion mode which was easily monitored by my AOR8200 with card.

Have they always had this? Something new?

I know that DOJ has the same method of privacy at times, but are there any other agencies in the Sacramento region that use Voice Inversion?

There is a user in the 152.000-153.000 range that uses speech inversion. It's not public safety. I think it's some sort of transportation company. I think the exact freq is 152.300.

I used either the old Ramsey kit or a program you can find online called invert.exe

Oh yeah that one, it's Yellow Cab in downtown Sac.
I remember it blowing out my OptoScout and having to lock it out all the time on my scanner.

Yeah, it's Loud and Strong. Picked it up on "Close Call" on the BC396 while I was at the Rivercat's Game.

Heard the deputies doing voice inversion last night. Didn't take the time to try to listen in using any programs. Dunno what hot calls were active, so don't know what they were talking about.

I have never heard any public safety agency still using voice inversion. I only found one commercial user of voice inversion around me and from listening it sounds like its some appliance repair company.

I hear Sutter Co Sheriff using their "scramble" at least once a day. I've got an Inversion Card for my AOR-8200 and usually hear them talking about information such as Caller's names/addresses, or detailed suspect info. "Sensitive" type information, but nothing spectacular.
