Licenses have been issued for the SVRCS Central cell. Sites listed are San Jose City Hall and Carol Drive. Haven't seen any activity on these frequencies yet.

The West cell is also scheduled for expansion to 12 channels in time for the Super Bowl,

I think you'll see the 12 channels for the west cell around the same time that Palo Alto and Doyle sites come online. What's the callsign for the Central?

Likely Milpitas PD & Fire, San Jose PD & Fire, and Sheriff. Basically everything east of 880 to around 101 & 85 to the south.

Very cool ! I use my WS 1080 for Santa Clara and Sunnyvale. But for every thing else I still use my PSR-300. So I guess my trusty PSR has its days numbered.

I noticed the additional channels for the west cell have gone live. Has anyone been able to confirm if the Palo Alto site is active? Last week it was not on.

For the last two days i have been mising large parts of sc pd and fire conversations. I have had the live feed and my scanner on and that's how I realized what I'm missing. And it also seems the similcast distortion is a Little worse now as well. Now the destortion has always been a challenge but could be managed. I have west and central sites programmed. I was thinking if it has something to do with the stadium causing overload. I'm pretty close to it . Any ideas ?

I updated everything that's on radio reference. I tried my scanner about a mile or so from my house and it seemed to pick every thing up. I think it's my location.

I’m having the same issues with Sunnyvale Public Safety where I work (Mathilda near Central). Disabling the central site helped.

I’m going to play around with P25 threshold settings and some different antennas.

Anyone else hearing encrypted transmissions on 1569? I believe that's a San Jose TGID. IDs are 132xxxxx Traffic seems to only be on the Central Cell.

Levi stadium has an event tonight and south bay law seems silent has anybody heard any traffic ?

SVRIA recently updated their guidelines for interop talkgroups.

Traffic for "pre-planned" events moved to South Bay Law 9 - 16 (talkgroups 35729 - 35736) and Fire 9 - 16 (talkgroups 35737 - 35744). South Bay Law 1 - 8 and Fire 1 - 8 are reserved for "spontaneous" events. Law 9 & 10 and Fire 9 are active tonight.

Both Law and Fire Talkgroups 7,8, 15 and 16 are AES Encrypted.

I dont see south bay law talk groups 9 to 16 in the data base will there be an up date for this ?
