I just tried using T4Win for the first time this evening. I have it hooked up to my 246T and I was amazed to start seeing data flowing across the screen. I saw the connect tone, system id, and site info. Then I checked that info with the RR database and found it to be correct. The system I'm monitoring is the Oklahoma DPS Motorola Type II Smartnet system. I saw references to different sites, all of which show active on the database, although they are nowhere near my home site. It looks to me like the control channel data I'm decoding gives the control channel frequencies for all the active sites in the system. When I looked up a Motorola 800 Mhz channel plan (www.batlabs.com/800chan.html), all of the frequencies were 25 Khz off of what I thought they should have been. Here's my data:
Site Ch# Chart Freq Actual Freq
4 15C (859.6875) 859.7125
6 167 (859.9625) 859.9875
7 171 (860.2125) 860.2375
9 17B (860.4625) 860.4875
So when I compared the channel numbers T4Win was showing to the 800 Mhz chart, the freqs were 25 Khz lower than what they should have shown. Anyone know what's going on?
