Interagency operations channels.
ISSI is our bridge between systems via a gateway.

ISSI talkgroups in Pinellas are used for interoperability between agencies. Pasco and Hillsborough P25 systems have ISSI channels to cross patch with the Pinellas System as well.

What type of tone alert protocol does fire dispatch use on Alpha? It's not 2-tone. It sounds more like a blurp of 4-6 rapid tones. Are there any scanners or software that cane decode it?.
They do not use tones. It’s voice over IP. The burst you hear are data being sent to the station being dispatched. Also they use alpha paging.

Oh, I thought those bursts were the unique set of tones that make the station receiver unmute to hear the dispatch. So do we know what data that is?

So they're not toned out by VoiP? Tones or data, what I really want to know is how to set up a scanner or pager to work on those bursts for a certain station.

You do realize that I was basically telling you how to do that in my PM, right? By using PDW, you can get the pager capcodes to achieve your goal.

I’ve explained that to him a few hours ago in PM. I have all the capcodes.

Well, 460.600 is separate from 1-Alpha and thought it was the tone blurp on 1-Alpha that is what sets off station tones/bells.

The blurp is just audio to get attention it does not activate tones, in the past pre P25 yes but now no. It is VoIP to activate tones in the stations now. Here is some info on it Pinellas County, Fla., Improves Fire Station Alerting

460.600 is for alphanumeric pagers they still carry in 2023
