TRX-1: Tennessee Advanced Communications Network (TACN) Project 25 Phase II

I'm a newbie and just got the TRX-1. My previous model was the HP-1. I've read the manuals, watched the videos and experimented with the EZ software and TRX-1 menu. I've loaded the full TACN objects for TN leaving all the settings at default. My local PD/Fire are in this system. As I scan I'm seeing a strong signal indicator and blinking "T" but it very rarely stops on a channel and usually there is no audio. Played with the squelch and that seems to have a small effect.
Sorry to bring up this old issue once more but any suggestions in terms of settings, etc.

Depending on what you want to hear No reason to load the entire state sites or the entire state talkgroups.

Thanks....I should have checked that out myself...I guess I'll stick with my old HP-1.

The TRX will do DMR you could try and see what you can hear its not like you are taking it back today.

Another question re. trunked/P25 systems. Should I include all sites or only the local ones covering my area? Does it matter? I do not intend to use the scanner as a mobile unit. By the way I'm now using a Uniden BCD 536 having tried both the TRX 1 and 2.
