Then whose transmissions am I picking up on talkgroup 306a lol? My radio has been quiet now for about 45 minutes with no THPD traffic but approximately an hour ago talkgroup 306a (THPD Dispatch) was transmitting traffic

As different shift and officers come back off days off, you might have one or two portables still on DISPATCH, quickly they are told to switch to Tac 1... Don't get me wrong, they are not encrypting their DISPATCH channel, other departments still need a way to contact the city Dispatcher if needed...

I appreciate your info!! I see as well on RRDB it’s not updated so I wasn’t sure if it was entirely encrypted yet or not. Did they encrypt the dispatch channel or going to but dispatch on TAC channels for now? Or what?

How often does does a municipality change their plan and go back to unencrypted ?

In the article it says a trend among agencies in Indiana and across the country, there are only a handful in Indiana encrypted, a majority are in the clear. It does make me wonder about my county with there new system. Was told their not before except for swat etc but I don't like this encrypted talk.

They can easily all have channels to use for secure communication they don't need to encrypt all traffic, that's terrible.. I feel bad for listeners in the area.
