is this only during live monitoring, or also on the recordings? (if also on the recordings then please send me a few samples)

there might be a very small stutter at the last second of live monitoring (but not on the recording), this is a known bug, that i don't intend to fix right now.

This is during live monitoring, its like the audio disappears randomly sometimes.
With recordings its a bit weird, because i can playback a recording in linux and it stutters the same way but if i play it again, its fine.
However when i copy the recordings over to windows it plays fine there every time.
Can this be a linux audio problem, seems like its some sort of audio-clipping or something?

if the recordings are fine under windows, but stutter under linux, that means that this is some general linux audio problem. what distribution is this? maybe some audio daemon is getting in the way, like pulseaudio, jack etc (especially if this is ubuntu - it installs tons of software for a "better user experience". and this is true, because the user gains lots of experience when trying to disable it).

look at some forums about the distro that you're using, i'm sure you will find lots of answers.

i would start with pulseaudio: temporarily rename pulseaudio to pulseaudio2, and kill the pulseaudio process

Hello, i just posted a couple of days ago a question here, but never have seen it appear on the forum?
It was about the fact that i could post tetra recordings (48 khz on a uniden3500 with dicrimniator)

For now on i don't have the requirements to use telive, but i'm looking forward to it, so i would like to have an advice, and users tell me if i can receive anything on my local repeaters;
So is it possible to decode pre-recorded audioK?

Thanks in advance, best regards

Strange... have linux mint x32 an ubuntu like and works great here

of course it will work. it's just that ubuntu and mint has more stuff this is supposed to make it easier to use, and this stuff gets in the way (this is especially true for inexperienced users). this is the main reason why debian is preferred

Hello , after many attempts , I installed Linux Mint 1.7 , and finally everything seems to work , although I hear voices distorted , as if they were sideband . To find other frequencies I installed gqrx but now the receiver me error:

It ' possible that the mere installation of gqrx I 've made this mistake ? no way to restore it without reinstalling everything? thanks

yes

by installing gqrx, you've probably installed another gnuradio version too

Soooo looking forward to trying this out. Not expecting ANY un-encrypted comms, maybe the Electricity board or the Fire Service but not expecting much else.

Thanks for putting this together!

the easiest way would be probably to install in chroot(). this way you can have another system running on the same kernel (marketing calls this containers now, and tries to convince you that this is something new, even though this functionality was present in its basic form for 30 years+)
