But, Kenwood USA does not import the TH-K40 to the US.

BTW, thread moved to the Amateur Radio Equipment forum since the K20 and K40 are built for the amateur radio market.

I’d love to see the K40A in the US. The TH-K20A is my only hand held, I bought two of them last year (sold one but wish I’d kept it). It has great selectivity and 6 watts output (measured by ARRL). Just a great inexpensive radio that’s easy to program (nice for railband RX too).

It's One Of My Favorite Little Radios And It Helps That Most Of The Fire And EMS Is Dispatched On VHF High Also Works Well For Me. And Yes RR Also
