I spent part of a day inside a SS "Roadrunner" 4WD van. I was invited to do some consulting on some stuff. It would make a great ham radio play van if one ever comes up for sale used.

Huge. Heavily Customized. Jet Black.

It's a 1 ton Ford Van, not even a newer one. Customized...with trailer tow mirrors. Jet Black...what is "Jet" Black...when most jets are painted white.

Someone needs readers for online articles. The service has used specialized communications and jamming vehicles for years. I have been 25 feet from a couple. Just another day folks.

The dome on an older White House Communications Agency Roadrunner is a Dorne & Margolin 225-400MHz antenna used for UHF satcom. I took one of those apart a few weeks ago and tossed most of it in the trash can. The domes on other vehicles in this thread look to be for mobile DirecTV or Dish Network satellite TV or for mobile satellite internet service.
