Hello to all, I just made a great find at a local Goodwill for $3.99. Radio Shack 32-1257 User`s guide Works great on 171.905Mhz."Keep your eyes open you never know what you are going to find" Weds 11/8/17 8:14PM

Sweet find man, good frequency range too pretty clean. I was at the grand opening of the GoodWill in my town last month and found a couple of frequency counters. One was a Yaesu with Nixie Tube display.

Hello to all, found another thrift store find on Mon 12-18-17 at a local Goodwill. https://rigreference.com/rigs/3721-regency-dx-3000. Gave$5.00 for the scanner and works well after I cleaned up up. Sounds great.!!!Keep your eyes open. "You just have to know where to look"

I second that! Keep your eyes open and visit the “electronics” section often...

Hello again to all. Here is another find that I found at a local Goodwill Store:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=av3Ws-LyvzM *Paid $3.99 for it missing one speaker* Added a high quality set of boston speakers to the unit and sounds great. Again works great on AC/DC power. *Lets keep this forum going. Does anyone on the forum have any finds they would like to share with is"????

I wasn't at a thrift store, but I got a Whistler WS1010 for $11 today at a local pawn shop. They had it tagged as a walkie talkie for 13 bucks, but I haggled the down :)

When you buy at Goodwill, can't you just donate an extra fiver as a gesture of good will?
When I buy at the salvation armys shops I try to give a little extra to support people in need.

"And a Goodwill purchase is one you can feel good about – when you make the choice to shop at Goodwill, you’re choosing to support valuable employment, education and training services in your community to help people find a job and get control of their finances. The money you spend stays directly in your community and gives people an opportunity to make a fresh start."

Good point Ubbe! Particularly if they aren't aware of the true value of an item.

Stopped by local thrift store in Carson City looking for a window fan; went home with a RadShack PRO-405 in excellent shape for $5.00 including the power supply. Perfect USFS-BLM-CalFire monitor, although I still need a window fan...
