Looking at your scenarios, I'd choose the Sirio antennas, but I'd go with the higher gain model for the VHF public safety:

Wow! I got it - perfect condition, unopened, and half the price. Now I just need a building and tower to mount it on 🤣.

Beautiful area. My grandparents started spending their summers there 55-years ago after many years of near full-time travel.

You and me both. Man, it is HARD to come to terms with "Mountain Time"... It's a real thing: weather turns nice and instead of making hay while the sun shines - most contractors are off farting around in the woods or whatever. It's not like they can do much in the winter with snow, wet ground, what not. So I sit, waiting for the grader to get around to my little driveway access project, so the concrete guy can build a foundation, so the metal building people can install the structure.
If I have that done by the end of August, I'll consider it a miracle.
Well, that was a little....painful...lol. But it's done. Done and done. I'll be moving up there permanently in a few months so springtime will be when I can get going on things.
