Tk-270/370

Is the Kenwood Tk-270/370 a good VHF-hi radio? Any input would be great.

My Buddy Has the Tk-270 and has had it for over a year now and the only problem he has with it was the speaker went out. Over all it is a good radio. It also it field programmable among other things.

Their not bad radios for the price and if you only need 128 channels. I personally like the TK-280 for VHF. I haven't had any problems out of any of the 270's I've worked with on the dept.

The 270/370 and 280 can handle Narrow and wideband correct, and are caple of scanning?

They are both narrowband compliant and have customizable scan lists.
