toronto fire -ems

I have travelled to toronto on several occasions and have not heard from fire or ems . i have got the frequencies and talkgroups in separate banks and i still am not hearing from either service. it worked fine prior to the G-20 and now it doesn't. has something changed??? bare in mind I do not listen to the GTA on a regular basis as i reside in the london area.

nothing has changed that major that you shouldnt be hearing them
some of the ems talkgroups names have changed but that shouldnt effect your hearing them

try "search" mode to hear what comes up

ensure ur getting the control channel, and ensure that ems/fire system quick key (or "list" for older scanners) is turned on

AsTorontoKris has mentioned as long as you have a scanner that is a trunk capable scanner (analog) you should be able to hear the 24/7 misery of numerous chest pains, fights, domestics, stabbing, broken bones and general misery that takes place in T.O. daily, the talkgroups that you want are always busy.

It might be best to monitor the south tower, TFS gets dispatched there and IIRC all EMS talkgroups affiliate with that tower.
