Has anyone had any luck in the north end of Torrington receiving Trinity? I've got the DMR upgrade, and added Trinity to the favorites list through Sentinel. It is receiving data, but I'm not hearing any voice at all. Databases are all updated. Signal should be good enough to hear, it is receiving data when I use the analyze feature.

I agree with you. I heard them a few times in the BRISTOL area but that was it. I still hear Waterberry once in a while but they’re still analog and you look at the database. Somebody moved the Torrington frequency over to business so I don’t know what’s going on.

I found out from reading some posts that they are encrypted now on the Torrington frequency. Unfortunately, we won't be able to scan them anymore

They are on the Marcus HDN DMR Hytera T3 System, Ive heard them off the Wolcott site before, im assuming they are also on the Torrington site. I haven't listened recently, but about 5 months ago, they were not encrypted.

Since you mentioned sentinel, im assuming you are using an uniden device. What model?

There are issues with Uniden scanners trunktracking the Hytera TierIII systems. There was a thread a while ago where some were able to get it working but it was not by normal LSN/LCN numbering.

Ive never been able to get it to work on my SDS 200; the same thing happened with another nearby Hytera System. Ive only ever been able to use DSD to get audio.

What he said... software & SDR. I am sure it is minor and I am equally sure that Uniden of old would have it solved very quickly.

Trinity now active on 500-33-903 with greater Hartford and Eastern CT transfers.

CG to my knowledge as this area's beta tester for Uniden, we hava not received any requests to review the Hytera, so please dont fault my supervisor. I will bring up the subject and ask that it be addressed.

Fell free to PM if any files are needed. I can do a CC Dump via 996P2 and Proscan or probably can dig up an old terminal program.
It isn't a slight to the current Uniden engineers or owners. The Hytera issues had been passed on back when problems were solicited but likely got lost in the flood of information received.
