"Troop F Talkgroup"?

Hello All,

I am a new scanner owner. The learning curve has been steep, but I am enjoying the listening, programming and troubleshooting. Today when I was monitoring local law enforcement I heard a State Trooper tell dispatch he was going to "Troop F talkgroup". That suggested he was going into a trunked system, if I understand correctly. As best I can tell from RadioReference and other research, Troop F is not trunked. Any thoughts on the transmission would be much appreciated as I learn the tech and language. Many thanks.

Turns out it was not a Trooper but a Forest Service officer saying he was switchint to Troop F Talkgroup. He later stated he was swiyching back to Grafton Talkgroup and an hour later I hear him call into Grafton Dispatch. Sounds like when he says "talkgroup" he means "dispatch". I'll take any feedback on that anyone has.

Troop F refers to Carroll County. There's a couple of channels depending on the location. North, central and south. There's no trunked system for nh state troopers.
