I'm hearing open communications, but on different talk groups. There are 8 new talk groups being used now. Hogansville is back on Troup County again, for how long I don't know. I'm not going to send any updates until I know for sure what they are doing with this system.

as of 2-17, from what I see in Hogansville, Hogansville PD is patched into The Troup Simulcast P25 system. If you watch the talk group when they talk it is prefixed with "P-". Ill log again tonight, lets brain storm and figure this out. Did you see HPD is adding GPS to their system in the vehicles?

Update:
I can now hear HPD (without the "P-", AMR 800 HEAR & E911 clearly, but nothing else. I think the encryption is causing interop issues. Logging all night.

2/22: I too am hearing HPD still along with Troup EMS, and AirEvac 077 in the clear. The Troup County fire dispatch backup on 154.34 is also sending tones and occasional dispatches.
EMS never did go dark. The alerting talk groups for Lagrange Fire didn't go out either. The talk groups I'm receiving traffic on are: 1050, 1064, 1065, 1066, 1067, 1069, 1070, 1071 & 1074. The Troup County Sheriff and Troup County fire dispatch are using these new talk groups. Witch ones, I don't know yet. As of yet only dispatch is heard and NO mobiles.

Thanks. Regarding not going dark, that’s what I’m seeing here myself.

I’m getting Hogansville Police Dispatch on TGID: 1140

They need GPS in the worst kind of way. They may lose one of their cars on any one of the dozen streets they have there. Anything to waste money on.

I have been logging the HPD all day and have never seen the attached lines ever in the history:

Cant get server address
No such host is known

Does this mean anything to anyone?

As of 14 March, HPD is still in the clear on Troup P25 Simulcast TID 1140 Law Dispatch NAC: C41h. Sure wish Troup SO and LaGrange PD & Fire were in clear for the bad weather expected over night Saturday

I totally agree, its more about hiding, unless the crime rate is worse than where i work, Union City GA which is in the clear BTW.

WELL it looks like they are close to Union City crime rate SMH. Maybe the encryption will help!! atleast its documented here for further analysis in the future!
