I have noticed that when TM switches up to Command 1 or Command 2 for responses I usually only hear them on the VHF side and not on EDACS. The normal steps have been take, correct TGID etc. Anyone have any ideas?

I have:
TMFD Command 1 030-62
TMFD Command 2 03-163, And a whole bunch of TAC trunking Talkgroups.
It is very common for TMFD to use VHF for wildland fires. In fact, if a wildland fire occurs you can bet on TMFD going to VHF. I downloaded all the frequencies and Talkgroups from RR.

Are you monitoring the Washoe County Metro system?

No the McClellan site on the EDACS side. I’m a bit too far south for the Reno Simulcast, Slide or Washoe P25. This is for major crashes and reported structure fires. Previously Command 1 and 2 on the trunk side simulcasted to VHF.

I hate to tell you this, but McClellan is a fill-in site with real limited coverage. Not only does it have a small footprint, but it probably won't carry all the traffic on the Metro system or Slide Mtn.

You may need an outside antenna, perhaps a Yagi type, and see if you can receive Slide.

Good luck !
